J.R. Hurlburt took the lead at the start of the Modified feature at I-88 Speedway on Klinger Powersports Night. Hurlburt would surrender the lead to Chris Shupp on a lap three restart. Shupp pulled to a half straightaway lead by lap six, but that would disappear when the caution came out on lap 10 when Chris Van Buren slowed on the front stretch. When the race restarted Hurlburt lost three spots sliding back to fifth place putting Arnie Slade in second, Justin Holland third and Bob Hamm fourth. The race went the remaining distance caution free as Shupp picked up his second win of the year. Slade held off Holland for second with Hamm fourth and Hurlburt fifth.

Aaron Shelton survived two early caution periods to take the lead at the start of the 20 lap Sportsmen feature. Charlie Hendrickson Jr. got by second running Butch Klinger on a lap two restart to move into second place. Gary Card Jr. also passed Klinger on the same restart to take over third.
At the half way point, Shelton began to enter lapped traffic until a multi car tangle on the front stretch brought out the caution on lap 13. When the race restarted James Cornell had entered the top five, passing Klinger to take fourth place. Three more cautions slowed the race before Shelton crossed the line with his first feature win of the year. Hendrickson finished

second with Card third, Cornell fourth and invader Anthony Perrego fifth.
K.C. Cole capitalized on his outside pole starting position to take the lead at the drop of the green in the 20 lap IMCA Modified. With six time feature winner Gary Smith running a close second, Cole held off his early race challenges. A three car tangle brought out the caution on lap 6 didn’t dampen Cole’s hold on the lead. Despite Smith’s continuing pressure Cole took his first I-88 Speedway IMCA Modified feature win. Smith finished second with Matt Roberts picking up the ride in his father’s car third. Tyler Stoddard finished fourth with Patti Simpson fifth.

Dustin Harris and Nick Robinson brought the Olum’s Street Stocks to the green flag for the start of their 20 lap feature with Robinson taking the lead and Kevin Boynton in second. The leaders entered lapped traffic on the 9th lap with fifth running Paul Harrington taking advantage of the opportunity sliding by Boynton and Neil Palladino to take over second place.
The caution came out on lap 11 putting Harrington on Robinson’s back bumper for the restart. Harrington pressured the leader before taking over the top spot on lap 14. Harrington went on to take his second consecutive win with Robinson second, Kurt Decker third, Doug Polhamus fourth and Dwayne Jackson fifth.

Mark Van Valkenburg outgunned Todd Stanton at the start of the 15 lap Otsego Physical Medicine 4 Cylinder feature. Fifth starting Ralph Cuozzo Jr passed Stanton on lap 6 to take over second. On the 12th lap Cuozzo slipped under Van Valkenburg to take the lead but before Cuozzo could clear the leader there was contact between the two cars sending Cuozzo into the front stretch wall barrel rolling a number of times along the barrier. Cuozzo was uninjured but his car was done for the night.
The race restarted with Buddy French the leader and 11 time feature winner Dave Smith in second. Two laps after the race resumed Smith took the lead and went on to take win number 12 on the season. Scott Chapman finished second with Frankie Kennedy third, Brad Hurlburt fourth and Walt Henry fifth.
The Midstate Vintage Antiques were on hand with Ray Preston and Mike Cole taking wins.
